Saudi Arabian Railways (SAR) has issued a new international tender for track and infrastructure maintenance under its Global Track & Infrastructure Maintenance Project (GTIMP). The procurement forms part of SAR’s long-term strategy to ensure the reliability, safety and availability of its national rail network.
The tender covers comprehensive maintenance activities related to track and associated rail infrastructure assets. According to the tender documentation, the scope includes preventative and corrective maintenance works aimed at supporting sustained network performance under demanding operational and environmental conditions.
The GTIMP programme is intended to engage specialised contractors with proven experience in large-scale rail infrastructure maintenance. The contract is expected to support SAR’s ongoing network expansion and increasing traffic volumes across passenger and freight corridors.
Detailed technical requirements, eligibility criteria and submission timelines are available through the official Saudi Arabian Railways e-tendering platform. Interested parties are invited to review the documentation and submit proposals in line with SAR’s procurement procedures.
